Who We Are
At the Tucson Hope Factory, we believe that everyone deserves a safe and stable place to call home. Through the power of community and volunteerism, we build transitional housing that provides hope, dignity, and a pathway to permanent housing for individuals experiencing homelessness. Together, we are creating solutions that transform lives and strengthen our community.
Vision Statement
A community where everyone in Tucson and Pima County has access to safe, secure shelter, with pathways to self-sufficiency and a brighter future, while permanent affordable housing is developed to meet the community's needs.
Mission Statement
The Tucson Hope Factory (THF) was established in 2024 to lead volunteers in building micro shelters and placing them within well-managed villages in Tucson and Pima County. THF strives to create a safe and supportive living environment, empowering individuals and families experiencing homelessness to rebuild their lives with dignity and stability.
Project Description
The Tucson Hope Factory, in partnership with the Drachman Institute of the College of Architecture, Planning and Landscaping Architecture at the University of Arizona, plans to design and produce innovative transitional housing built to last in our harsh Sonoran Desert climate. THF and The Drachman Institute will develop and deliver the manufacturing processes, the zoning, and the permitting needed to produce best-in-class transitional micro-housing that will fit the needs of our Tucson Community. We also believe that THF will become a beacon of positive energy for our Tucson Community.
Partnerships
THF believes that innovative partnerships, creative project development and sustainable design features will make way for a healthier, stronger community. During this year-long design and planning process, delivered May 15th, 2025, THF will be working with The Drachman Institute, St. Francis Shelter Community, our generous donors, and corporate sponsors to make this dream a reality.
